SS20 Fish Head Noodles @ Damansara Kim

This time introducing a good Fish Head Noodles located in Damansara Kim known as SS20 Fish Head Noodles. As it's so near to my working place, we tend to frequent this place for a good lunch. Normally the most important criteria for our lunch is easy parking, good access, fast service, reasonable price and good food. It's not easy to become a good lunch place, but this place meets all the criteria, and it means good place. Let's see.

The SS20 Fish Head Noodles, a small store but great food. The staff even got uniform, very organise. The shop is open from 9am till 9pm daily and they got around 5 workers during peak time. A small store occupied by 6-7 staff during peak hour, you will be happy.

A quick glance at the menu, there is basically three type of fish served, namely Soong Fish, Haruan Fish and Fish Paste. I don't bother with Haruan Fish & Fish Paste, because I personally think they are tasteless, but good for those that love fresh fish meat. There is also three type of noodle served, the Fine Mee Hoon, Lai Fun and Thick Mee Hoon, depending on your liking.

Three fish type, three noodle type, giving you nine combinations. Your choice.

The place is spacious and there are easily over 15 tables, don't worry to visit during peak hours, you will manage to get a seat anyway and their service is fast. The waitress are attentive and the shop is run by owner himself, so don't worry. Everything is tip-top, no complain.

Here is a peek shot of the boss himself, preparing our bowl of nice fish head noodle =) Such a nice chap with good smily face all the time. Importantly, serving great food for our enjoyment.

First to come is the Soong Fish Fine Mee Hoon for myself that's priced at RM7.50. You can request for a mixture of fried type or the steamed type. As long as the price is the same, you will get 4 pieces of fish in the bowl no matter the mixture. Note that you can either order the Soong Fish head portion or the meat portion. Both are in the same price, and normally I prefer the fish head, more tasty if you know how to eat fish head.

The soup is good, not too tasty that make you go thirsty and a good portion of fresh milk is added. Tell them to exclude the milk if you dont feel well though, especially gastric problem. Fine mee hoon or lai fun is also good and the fish is fresh. What else to complain? Nope, let's eat.

Friend of mine ordered the Soong Fish Lai Fun priced at RM8.00. Same soup and fish, but lai fun is really not good, and I'm moving towards the lai fun recently.

Here is the special chilli padi soy sauce to go with the fish. It's very nice, homemade and not too spicy. My friend always ask for one more, finished up both. Nice.

My usual order of drink at this place, the Michael Jackson, mixture of soya & cincau.

Come to the review, as said, it's not easy for a restaurant to become a favourite hang-out to office worker. We only got 1 hour, and this place meet all the critierias. The food is good but I wouldn't say it's the best fish head noodles in the town, although it's one of the few that's good. As I'm staying quite far away from this place, I would prefer a much better restaurant in Kuchai Lama, that I will share later.

However, this place serves one of the best fish head noodles in the area, do drop by and try out. I listed this place as one of my fish head noodles shop. Cheers.
